According to this article, a 31 year old woman walking her poodle in north-east France, was “dragged to the ground and mauled” by six feral cats. Then it gets weird:
It is thought the attack may be related to the high summer temperatures perhaps making the cats more aggressive than usual.
Really? Do your neighbourhood cats attack when it gets hot?
The local Gendarme:
In response to the incident local police said the attack was “very unusual” and was therefore “a cause of great concern”.
We knew this would happen eventually, we just didn’t realize it would start in France. The cats have taken over. Be afraid, be very afraid…
Several years ago when I had only three dogs, we were attacked in front of a house by a cat. We have never been attacked by a dog. The cat was fairly small and quite territorial. We never walked by that house again.
