A teacup Chihuahua named Molly has been designated a “dangerous” dog by officials in Windsor, Ontario after biting a mail carrier on the ankle (insert joke here). The dog must also be muzzled when outdoors.
Finally someone is taking small, snapping, yapping, annoying football sized dogs seriously. (Except this
For some reason people don’t train/socialize small dogs. “Oh, he’s so cute, jumping on you like that.” No…it’s not cute and it has the potential to get way out of hand. Think little kids. We wouldn’t accept this behaviour from a Lab or a Golden, why should it be acceptable just because the dog is small. In the past two weeks, my Lab has been chased by a Pomeranian, a Pug and a Westie. (The Pomeranian came very close to being punted into a field.) All of these dogs were lucky that my dog is a very laid back dog. Not all dogs are.
How seriously does the dog’s owner take the dangerous dog designation:
“It’s a joke,” said Scott, adding that Molly is “the size of a shoe.”
No it’s not…train your damn dog.
