Cornwall (U.K.) artist David Kemp has taken old Wellington boots and turned them into fabulous street art. The Tinners Hounds are on display in the square of the village of Redruth.
Unfortunately, graffiti artist were waiting… 🙂
A secretive group of women known only as “Graffiti Grannys” (sic) targeted the lovely sculpture one night. No permanent damage was done to the artwork – they are knitters and crocheters. Isn’t this so much more creative than idiots with spray cans?
You can see more of Mr. Kemp’s work here. He is my favourite kind of artist. Takes “found” objects, turns them into public art and all with a sense of humour.
