Steal dogs and then adopt them out.
For a $350 fee of course…
According to the Mounties in Surrey, B.C., two women have been charged for allegedly stealing dogs. The Mounties launched an investigation when local residents complained about their pets going missing. The women of Better Life Dog Rescue, which is not an accredited dog rescue organization, were subjects of interest from the outset, said RCMP Corporal Grainger. “This is something we don’t see everyday.”
From the Better Life Dog Rescue site:
Please note: Unfortunately ABLDR does not have a shelter. (We would dearly love one and would happily accept such a donation but we are not holding our breath.) All our dogs are in foster homes. So, unfortunately, we have no location for our dogs to be met.
All the dogs are in foster homes. That is quite funny…in hindsight.
