It was a crisp autumn day. Two Labs were sitting on the front porch of a log cabin. They could smell the smoke from the wood burning stove. The leaves were shimmering on the giant maple trees as the sun slowly rose over the still lake. Overhead, Canada geese could be heard as they headed south for the winter. On the lake, the ducks silently paddled around, looking for the last bits of food before they too would head south. By the side of the lake, deer approached for a morning drink. Mourning doves cooed. All was peaceful.
Finally, one Lab turned to the other and said, “It doesn’t feel like Monday, does it?”
