Red sky at morning, shepherd’s warning.
Frequently ‘sailors’ is substituted for shepherds. But, as this is a dog site, and not a nautical one, it’s shepherds. 🙂 MSMR*
The familiar rhyme about the colour of the sky predicting the weather, whether for sailors or shepherds, comes from the Bard’s line:
“Like a red morn, that ever yet betoken’d wreck to the seaman – sorrow to shepherds.”
If you look closely at the bottom photo, you can see deer coming out of the bush for their evening snack.
