We’re just wild about daffodils…
They call them mellow yellow…

.Quite rightly....

Thick heavy snow sticks to our fur but feels good on the nose!

One of the purposes of an Inukshuk is to indicate migration routes…
(seems to work)

but these young deer are safe because hunting season doesn’t start for another 8 months. There must be lots of corn still in the fields, because the deer have been coming out in incredible numbers the last couple of weeks.

As you can see behind the Inukshuk, we are surrounded by large empty (this time of year) fields. Walking on the road is not terribly enjoyable when the wind whips across these fields. All this to say, we didn’t walk very far yesterday. When the weather is nicer we do a lot of walking, but the past month it has either been terribly cold, or windy, or both. So, we ended up in the back yard playing ball. As anyone who has a Lab knows, if they don’t get their exercise, they tend to get a little destructive in the house. (Understatement of day…)

After burning off all our pent up energy, it was time to crash…
Usually, one of the cats will join us in taking a nap around the hearth. The grey cat you see here, is Stubby. He is sleeping on a pillow case full of cat nip. Life is good…
I will have better Inukshuk pictures when we have some sunshine. It’s really not that bleak around here.
Editors note: Sorry about the placements of the photos, I am still learning WordPress.
