OK, now think Florida. This is a state where individuals can not only ”take your gun to work” but also “stand yer your ground”. So, why not have an NRA/AKC initiative where your dog would be allowed to pack heat? It’s a natural! Picture Wayne LaPierre, with a pistol packing poodle, “The only thing that stops a bad dog with a gun is a good dog with a gun.” Or how about Clint Eastwood, “Make my day, pug!” And finally Ted Nugent, “When the law disarms good dogs, bad dogs rejoice.” Dog shows (and life generally) would get way more interesting in an instant.
I believe that the time has come for our dogs to be packing heat. I mean, after all, what could go wrong? Oops… And so it begins…Police in Florida said this was the first case of “dog shoots man” that they had ever come across. For.Now.

It seems to me there is a story every year or so about a dog shooting a man. And I’ll bet there are a lot not reported that way.
