Puppies to the left of me, puppies to the right…squeeeee

December 22, 2010 by hemmingforddogblog

17 Rhodesian Ridgebacks to be exact!

In Germany, a dog has given birth to 17 puppies.  What makes this story so unusual is that all of the puppies have survived, thanks to the owner of the mom.  The demand of 17 kids to feed (!) so overwhelmed the mom, that the owner had to step in and help with the feedings.

Ramona Wegemann says she barely slept for more than a couple of minutes without interruption during about four weeks in an ‘exhausting’ struggle to make sure all 17 would survive.

She said today that when she was ‘finished feeding the last puppy, the first was hungry again.’

The puppies’ Mom said she can’t wait until they are old enough to move out. More here.

Beautiful Story may they all grow-up to be better than the humans which is not difficult.
